The Archive Series are an evolving body of photographic work that Peters has developed since 2006, deeply inspired by August Sander’s Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts (People of the 20th Century) and his systematic categorisation of the archetypes of his time. Peters organises her analogue large-format photographs into sections, or series, titled
III. The Garden, IV. Ads, VI. The Breakfast, VII. Poster, XI. Illusion, XII. Desserts, and XV. Shopnow.fr.

Drawing primarily on the repetitive imagery of advertising, fashion, product photography, and stock imagery encountered in everyday life, the Archive Series examines how visual codes shape perception, aesthetics, and visual memory.
Peters collects, analyses, and reinterprets these familiar images, often recreating the seductive aesthetics of commercial photography.

Since 2015, her interest in the visual stereotypes of e-commerce has informed the ongoing series XV. Shopnow.fr
Other series, such as XIX. Oeuvre and XX. GoSees, adapt familiar photographic strategies more closely associated with documentary photography.

Lives and works in BerlinDeeply inspired by the work of German photographer August Sander (1876–1964) and his magnum opus Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts (People of the 20th Century), in which he catalogued the archetypes of his time, Peters has developed her own method of categorisation since 2006.

To this day, Peters continues to organise her analogue large-format photographs into sections, which she titles, among others, III. The Garden, IV. Ads, VI. The Breakfast, VII. Poster, XI. Illusion, XII. Desserts, and XV. Shopnow.fr. Together, these photographic series form a continuously evolving catalogue, which she refers to as the Archive Series.

Through this self-created archive, Peters reflects on her experience of the repetitive images that surround her—primarily advertising, fashion, and product imagery encountered on the internet, in magazines and books, and in public space. By collecting, analyzing and reproducing these visual codes, she examines the ways in which such images shape our perception and become part of our visual memory.Deeply inspired by the work of German photographer August Sander (1876–1964) and his magnum opus Menschen des 20. Through this self-created archive, Peters reflects on her experience of the repetitive images that surround her—primarily advertising, fashion, and product imagery encountered on the internet, in magazines and books, and in public space. By collecting, analyzing and reproducing these visual codes, she examines the ways in which such images shape our perception and become part of our visual memory.

While each series may initially appear familiar and readily recognisable, each pursues a distinct and deeper focus. Peters often recreates and analyses the visual language of commercial photography, exploring its seductive aesthetics and, at times, introducing a sense of visual humour, as in XI. Illusion (2011–2016). Other series engage with historical research, personal reflection, or the photographic document.

A parallel influence stems from stock image catalogues—from their early days to the present—which, through their grouped depictions of everyday life, unintentionally reveal the stereotypes and social values of a given era.

Since 2015, Peters has been particularly interested in the stereotypes of e-commerce photography, which led to the ongoing series XV. Shopnow.fr, an exploration of the webshop as both a concept and an image. Other series, such as XIX. Oeuvre and XX. GoSees, continue her interest in adapting well-known photographic strategies, though their aesthetic and motivation align more closely with classic documentary photography.
